The mission & ministry of CYPRESS CHAPEL was designed with families in mind. We desire that parents engage their children in conversations about their relationship with God, and model what living as a disciple of Jesus looks like.
So parents, bring your kids to worship each week. We'll include age-appropriate messages for your kids and make sure to do things in a timely manner to hold their (and your) attention. We will also receive the Lord's Supper during worship. If your child has not been instructed about this special meal, we encourage you to offer a spoken blessing that can sound something like this: "Our Heavenly Father in His love for you sent His Son Jesus into this world to die for you and forgive all your sins. You are forgiven and loved."

Kids DNA occurs every regularly after worship. Students will be divided into three different groups (Pre-K/K, 1st-5th Grade, and Middle/High School) for an age-appropriate activity or discussion, focusing on the Bible story from worship that day.
Kids are always welcome at home gatherings - after all, we want this to be an extension of your family. We'll pray, eat, laugh, and play together. Sometimes it's a little loud and a little messy, but that's what eating with a large family looks like, too.

Relax! God put the wiggle in children; don’t feel you have to suppress those wiggles in God’s house. Consider sitting toward the front where it is easier for your little ones to engage. Quietly explain the parts of the service and actions of the pastors, musicians and leaders. Sing the songs, pray and voice the responses. Children learn behavior by mimicking you. If you have to leave the Sanctuary with your child, feel free to do so, but please come back.
Some songs really lend themselves to moving around and expressing your faith. Feel free to use those extra wiggles to dance for Jesus!

what does baptizing with water indicate?
Every day is a gift from God--and every day He is giving us a chance to live for Him. Holy Baptism works forgiveness of sins, rescues from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this, as the words and promises of God declare. This is for all people, of all ages, at any time.
